A flat washer is a round outer diameter thin plate with a center hole (inner diameter) punched to the size of the bolt or screw size.
DIN 9021 Oversized O.D. Metric Flat Washers are round discs with round holes with a large outside diameter that provide a smooth
bearing surface when used under the head of a hex head bolt or hex nut. The larger outside diameter helps to spread clamping load
created by threaded fasteners over a wider area on the mating surface. These flat washers are often used on soft or thin
